September 11, 2001: The Day That Changed the World

Downloadable Poster Exhibition: July 2021 - September 2021

Role: Contract Designer at the National September 11 Museum and Memorial

September 11, 2001: The Day That Changed the World is a downloadable educational exhibition that presents the history of 9/11, its origins, and its ongoing implications. It explores the consequences of terrorism on individual lives and communities at the local, national, and international levels, and encourages critical thinking about the legacies of 9/11. The poster exhibition is available to libraries for free to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the attacks on September 11. Over 2,000 libraries downloaded the exhibition within the first month.

Poster layout is inspired by Spencer Finch’s Trying to Remember the Color of the Sky on That September Morning installation on display at the 9/11 museum. The square grid and blue squares create flexible content categories to adjust to each poster’s needs.
